FT: video card "ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500 128MB"

Post by BrandonHum »

Yes, you read this correctly.

Just so that you guys have a definate idea what card this is, go here.

http://www.ati.com/products/pc/aiwradeon8500/index.html

Yes, it's the 128MB full clocked version, not the 64MB slowly clocked All In Wonder.

I got this card for a review sample. There is no review as there was a problem in the review process. Baiscally, I plugged my first AIW that ATI sent me into my computer and it didn't work. It was killed. Then they sent me another card. That case also didn't work. Before unknowingly killing it, I tested it on my friend's computer. It worked fine, just fine. And as for the review, I'm getting a Radeon 8500 128MB card to try out, I currently have a 8500 64MB card in my system and it works fine.

So basically as far as I can tell, there's a compatibility issue with my motherboard, the EPoX 8K7A+ and the card works fine with the 8KHA board (my friend's system).

AND NO, THE DEAD CARD IS NOT UP FOR GRABS AS I HAD TO SEND IT BACK.

So the card I'm trying to trade is fully functional. It comes with everything, all the software/games, the remote control, DVI adapter, the video in/out dongle and cables. Yes, it's the full retail box, only the card itself was touched and tested.

Here's my Heatware, yes I only have 1 eval:

Here's the Heatware of my friend, he's simms on the forums here:
http://www.heatware.com/eval.php4?id=3895

For trades, I'm considering the following:

- 7200RPM Maxtor hard drives, 30GB's or higher
- KT266A/333A or above motherboard, preferrably Soyo, ABIT or EPoX
- Solid state MP3 player, recent models only, even a NetMD considered...no MP3CD players...mp3+fm tuner is a plus
- LCD monitor (if standalone, controller required)
- good SCSI HD setup (drive + controller)
- Pocket PC, no Palm's wanted - GOT!!!
- nice small digital camera, 2mp or better

Don't PM me as I don't check it as often, plus full boxes are annoying. Email me here: mario9999998@rogers.com

Hey, I have a 30gig Maxtor and a AMI MegaRAID Enterprise 1200 Dual channel with 8megs of ram that I'd give for that card. Don't PM. I never check. Use my e-mail "normalicy@aol.com".

Thanks,
Mickey
