My friend is the good friend of the directors son and to tell you this movie look likes it going to rock. I was able to go to one of the sets here in california and New York it was pretty cool. I believe the part that was extremely fun is when we went to the sony studios labs where they composed all the special effects. I swear Toby Mcguire looks like a perfect character for this movie.

I also have small directors script of the movie. Have been fliping thru it looks decent.

I have a feeling the entire movie's going to be really predictable...but, it'll be a good flick to see without having to think about anything, just give your brain a rest :)

The movie was awesome, it is just what I have been waiting for. Some of the bit parts were a bit overacted (I.E. J. Jonah Jameson) but the movie as a whole was excellent. I thought Tobey Maguire made an excellent PP and Kirsten Dunst rocked as MJ. All in all 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.

PS the preview for the new HULK movie looked pretty darned good as well.

Saw it lat night! Great movie!!

Decent acting and effects.

I felt the best part of the movie was him first discovering his powers, too funny!

The only thing I could make a stink out of was the action scenes seemed to be rather quick!!

Did anyone else feel like they were watchin' Power Rangers when the Green Goblin kept poppin' up?

I thought it was frickin' awesome. I grew up reading spider-man comics, and the movie didn't let me down. Sure, some conventions were made for the sake of brevity (the movie is already pretty long).

For instance:
No webshooters (they are biological, not mechanical)
No police commisioner (early spider-man)
No Gwen Stacey - BIG omission

But, you cannot expect a movie to be a perfect adaptation, so I just went with it.

Anyhow... overall, this movie ranks up there with the first superman and Tim Burton's batman. The music was pretty decent as well. It was quite derivative of the original batman score, but good nevertheless.

How long is the movie itself w/o the commercials?

Plan on seeing it sometime this week, but time might be an issue. Glad to see it being rated so well. Even the spiderman game is getting a bit of roar in the local Electronic Boutique, lots of teens and kids hanging around the X-box.
