Jumper Settings for an MS6905 Slocket?

Post by TruckStuff »

Does someone still have their manual for this laying around? I can't find mine and I'm pulling it out of the closet to go in a server I'm building. I want to make sure that I get these settings right so I don't fry the chip. MSI's website is useless on the subject.

The manual is on their website. It's in the peripherals section.

Download the manual from MSI's web site here: http://www.msi.com.tw/support/manual/peripheral.htm

They silk screened all the settings right on the pcb board so you cant lose them! Abit makes a more solid lock in the slot 1 rails though.

J3 is the bottom jumper- set to open for single cpu, closed for dual

J1 is the next one up - closed to autodetect FSB, open to set to 100 mhz

The top five jumpers are the voltage jumpers. To use default voltage, set them all so pins 1 and 2 (the two closest to the socket) are closed.

If you want another voltage, lmk and I will post it.
