Linux Book recommendation
My boss wants me to learn Linux so I can set up an FTP server. Any recommendations on books? I am probably going to stick with Red Hat, so a nice book about it would be great. Also looking for TCP/IP book that has intro stuff but gets more advanced. Thanks.
Do you already know Unix, and you just want specific Linux info? Or have you always used some other OS-type (MacOS, Windows). If you just want to learn to use Linux, a general Unix reference will help you quite a bit.
If you really are interested in learning the internals of TCP/IP, just go searching for "TCP/IP stack" on google. There is a lot of good info there. Otherwise, you will probably need to pick up a college textbook (which is expensive). Unless you are only interested in administering a TCP/IP based network, then book 3 down there is exactly what you need.
