GeForce4-Is Your Fan Noise Noticable?

Post by popeye »

I have a Pine Tech Excalibur GeForce3 DDR Video Card and the fan noise is very noticable. High pitched sound. I am on my second card, still loud. Looking to return it to get a Geforce 4 card. The tech said that all fan noise on these high performance cards will be noticable. I keep my computer in my bedroom and leave it on 24/7. Drives me crazy. Is the fan noise on the GeForce cards noisy? Thanks.

Dunno about that, but i changed my fan on my GF2 to a Blue Orb. Now this bastard was really noisy, so i changed it to a Titan copper cooler. Was nice at the beginning, but then the fan got a bit bad and made a vibrating clicking noise.
Took it off, and put a large Pentium heatsink without fan on it. This fixed my problem :) No sound at all, and it don't get any hot either. Takes up PCI slot 1 & 2 though.

NO, I checked and I can't hear it over the others and the SCSI drive. :)

No, the 5 case fans drown out the noise from the two little fans on my Leadtek GeForce Ti 4400.
