well for now I just slaped in my Audigy....which im not exactly pleased about. I think I will eithor call my chargecard on this issue or agree to only pay Half of the origonal price. Case is now basicaly compleat. I have to remobe a brick or 2 here or there 2 add holes for plugs but the structure and roof are done and in place...atleast untill I come up with something better...Which cant be all that hard. :p

Are the legos stable enough by just using their connections or is any glue necessary?

I had honstly never even heard of using glue with legos until I showed of my earlier lego case...and no, No glue involved here...Except I have resorted to gluing a few plugs inplace. You will see them in the final product. they are the AV plugs for the AIW, and there will also be a nic port glued in place as well most likelly...unless I can get it stable enough with out it.

I carry it around on a piece of wood.

As of today, there is only one thing left to do. Use it. :) well and finish the few ports that need 2 be glued in place.

Other then that, the whole infastructure is legos. legos hold the Power suply, monitor, Mboard, dvd, hd, and what ever else in place....well and gravity.

Let the flaming begin! 8^P

PS, Sean - if you consider $1299, the the new iMac would count. It's got a 15" FP that is beautiful... imo.

PPS - No, I'm not a troll, I just think that a Lego 'puter is cool, no matter the architecture.

I suppose you consider a Mac ugly whether or not it looks good, just because it's a Mac. I really don't see how you can find the new iMac ugly. Even if it isn't the greatest looking computer out there (which I think it may be), it definitely isn't ugly.

The Lego case is looking pretty good :)

we didn't exactly do it as coordinated... but this was our lego system 8 months ago... had the following specs

ka7 motherboard
750mhz amd athlon
2 sticks of 128mb pc133 ram
7200rpm maxtor 30gb harddrive (although heat corrupted our original partitions, making the drive think it had 110gb)
matrox g400 dual head video card
netgear pci 10/100 network card
realtek isa 10/100 network card
32x front-loading cdrom
golden orb
5000rpm front fan
5000rpm rear fan
300watt power supply

we have additional pics if anyone is interested... check http://www.m00f.net/lego/ for more info on the project
if barbie is so popular, then how come you have to buy all of her friends? i mean seriously, that's such a rip off...
