Not sure I understand, but I know this can be real frustrating.

Why would you move the hd's to another mobo? If the main one doesn't work with an xp cpu untill you flash the bios do you have a cpu that will? Or you might try using the xp cpu, reset the cmos and boot up using a start up disk and then flash the bios.

Windoze 'feels' your pc, esPECIALLY your motherboard. With W9x we could wipe out the
hardware registry and have it 'detect' the new MB.. I haven't heard of or tried ( often ) doing
what you tried.

I may be singing to ... the anti choir, but at least with Microsoft OS's you should install a fresh, clean, sparkling operating system when you change mother boards. period.

it CAN work if you don't. But that's like patching the tire on you Ferrari with hot glue. If you are someone who has good luck go for it. I've seen it work. but with every crash I have to wonder if it was
a real problem or my short cut in playing with the OS.

Microsoft stopped giving detailed techincal support when Win 9x came out. Prior to that they would HAPPILY go through your win.ini, etc files to fix your problem. They are smart enough not to just point
a finger at someone else at the first chance they get, but detailed registry support is hard to find.

... Sorry. [rant off]

I can't think of anything specific to your problem. If you remove the 'trasported' OS as a
possible cause of problems 95% of your problems should resolve.

Side Note: have you tried ASUS?

Hope this helps.

What revision is your a7v133 ? I think only 1.05 and up support XPs ... you might want to cross check with the ASUS forum at http://www.amdmb.com ;)

You can't "flash" you revision like the BIOS, there are small changes to the complete mobo layout .... I think you can forget about XP + your a7v133 as long as it is revision below 1.05
