Whats the difference?
Between the ClawHammer and the Venice? Besides $40 on the same speed. Is it worth the $40 on a 3500+?

I think the clawhammers are Socket 754 and the Venice is Socket 939
***EDIT***
Just double checked and I'm right.. If you want future proof and Dual Core availability in the future, get the Venice..

Hmmm.. You're right..
With these findings, I'm not 100% sure on the difference other than the Venice Core is newer than the clawhammer and supposed to be "The OC" chip.. Sorry for that bit of misinfo up there..

Supposedly. Everyone at the AMD Tech Tour was talking about that. They were hoping that the mobo/CPU combos came with Venice core CPUs (they did) because they were more overclockable.

Yah, I have a 3200+ Winnie and I've gotten it to 225mhz stable on the FSB with Corsair XMS 3200.. I'd like to save up some more money and get my hands on some PC4000 and see what it can do..

What mobo are you using??? I set my fsb to 270 and have no instability issues. Are you setting a "max mem clock" in your bios? 270fsb with "max mem clock" of 333=2.43ghz with mem running at 222mhz (asus a8n mobo). Corsair xms1024c2pt mem.
