It's meant for servers, really, and network deployment. It works fine, but it's the corporate version of NAV and at it's heart it's the same engine. Maybe a bit more stability since it's designed for servers and meant to be updated without reboots.

I think McAfee Enterprise Edition is a better product. Less memory footprint and performance hit.

well I tought I found the solution to my "very slow compi" problem in this post. So I uninstalled NAV04 and yes it was a little better but still not where it should be. Then I found an other post ---> http://www.nocrash.com/ncbbs/msgs/3550.shtml
I reinstalled NAV04 and didnt notice a difference, then I uninstalled Real1Player. :) and now my compi is back to normal. It doesnt take over a minute anymore to open a Word docment.
I'm happy again and still protectet by NAV 2004 (hopefully)
So if you guys still experience slow downs after removing NAV try removing Real One Player.
All the best from the west!

Real One is the Devil. Tried it once for about 10 min and it will never find it's way onto my system ever again.

OMG that's why the comp at work was running so damn slow! Right click on something and go and get a frickin coffee! They just put NAV 2004 on it, if the slowdowns are still there when I go back tomorrow I'll go talk to my boss about it...
