"Jayne Mansfield's Car"

In 1969 Alabama, grizzled WW II vet Jim braces for a visit from his ex-wife's now-widowed husband, who's bringing her body from England to bury. Soon, the tumult of the era, the changing South and generational clashes play out in Jim's home.

this movie suggestion popped up @ me while i was searchin' for movies to add to my queue, so i rented it.

it is,,, unusual. i don't know how else to describe it; but we did like it; the acting was very good and Robert Duvall was top notch : )

{ still haven't a clue why they chose that name for the film,, }.

anyway, 'tis a drama, and here is the cast:

Exec,, i do know who Jayne Mansfield was,,!

just can't figure out the connection w/the film title; ~ they showed the car for about 20 seconds towards the end of the film,,, ~ but i'm sure the fellas appreciate the pic!
