brakes got lucky ~

Post by renovation »

tonight did the rear brakes on the wife's car was making noise. has like 65,000 miles on it . thought it was going to be a good chance I'd need to buy a rotor. took them apart only to find some how a small stone got trap between the pads and the rotor on the rear drivers side. good thing was I already had a spare set of rear pads for her car on a shelf. took the rotor up and got them turned ( reground ). they just needed a very small amount ground to resurface them. 40 mins later all were back like new . don't get lucky like this very often. a shop could of made a killing off me the way this sounded .still like to know how the stone got stuck in there as it was scared completely across the whole pad there was a groove front to rear on the in side pad. the old pad still had like 70 -80 percent of life left .replaced them because I had the new pads in stock .
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help
