Enabling Flash on Android Jelly Bean

Post by Nuby1Canuby »

I found this link at PCAdvisor that tells you how to enable Flash on a device with Android 4.1 or higher installed.
It works fine on my Nexus 7 with Android 4.3 installed with the Dolphin browser. I have the browser web content set to Flash Player On Demand so Flash won't run unless I manually click on the green arrow.

How did you get it to work in Dolphin? My copy of Dolphin won't let me turn flash on. It gives me a warning popup that says that it's not supported in Android 4+ and they've disabled it so it won't crash Dolphin.

Hmmm. Not working for me. I installed the .apk (allowing Unknown Sources). Upgraded Dolphin, enabled Flash in Dolphin with On Demand setting.

I see the on demand button in a video but when I click on it nothing happens or else I get an icon that sort of looks like a blue Lego brick.

This is one flash video I tried to play here:

That video is working for me but it took a while to load.
I believe I downloaded the first file from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1774336

flash_player_11.1.102.59.apk

I was already on the current version of Dolphin and had Flash set to On Demand.
I just installed the one setup file.
I used the current version of ES File Explorer to install it.
I do have JavaScript enabled in Dolphin.

Strange. Works in Firefox but not Dolphin.

Fast little browser. Very little bloat. I like it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... wser&hl=en

It supports gestures, but I never use them.

The thing I like the best about Dolphin is the way it organises your bookmarks.
