Oblivion Behind the Scenes

Post by FlyingPenguin »

Actually looking forward to this movie. I like how they are trying to shoot whatever they can without CGI and green screens whenever possible. It's VERY cool that the sky backdrop for the house is a projection.

Also the full size mockup of the bubble ship is very cool.

Steve Gibson gave it rave reviews as well. Wife and I are going to catch a matinee next week.

I really enjoy these types of movies lately. Just getting to see the future potential of technology advancements intrigues me.

Funny thing is that the future potential isn't.... dang, I almost did a spoiler.

Anyhow, this movie made me think of a mix of Matrix mixed with Cloud Atlas.

Wife and I saw it today. Liked it. Nice visuals and a nice plot twist. Great musical score also, which can make or break a movie.

Nice touch on the design of the flying machine. It had very believable controls and physics, although I'm hard pressed to understand where they squeezed in the power plant.
