What to look for in a first duron?

I have a MSI pro2a coming and want a first amd chip so thought I'll go for a duron 700 as its cheapest and they seem to top out at 950. I'm buying in canada and found it for about 55usd equivalent before taxes. I want to play with it to unlock and overclock etc. Any colors, numbers etc to look for or watch out for when buying it oem retail?

all the newer durons are pretty much the same, i think - none have copper interconnects and they all overclock pretty well - if you can get retail do so because of the higher resale

when you move up to that 1.3 tbird

Figure I'll try to unlock it first to avoid a fan/hs swap later. I guess there's no way to tell if it was factory unlocked?
