after doing a bit of digging im seeing this is a 2 year old model - and even do it's brand new in the box. the company may not stand behind it. so i edit this post to inform possible buyers ~

Never heard of them. When it comes to home gateway routers cheap = crap. Case in point: Belkin routers.
Save your money for a decent D-Link or Netgear router. Or better yet, go find an old Linksys WRT 54G and flash it with the DD-WRT firmware.
