Monitor Problem
I've been having a monitor problem where the monitor would all of a sudden say "source input not detected" or something like that. I tried another monitor and I got the same problem. So I figured it must be my video card. I had a gaming card installed (Radeon X1600) and so I removed it and I wanted to see if the problem persisted using my onboard graphics. I didn't get the source input problem but I did get another issue. Once Windows XP finishes loading, it then says something along the lines of "Out of scan range 46.4 kHz/86 Hz".

When you are using the Radeon X1600, can you see the initial boot screen? If so, your Windows default resolution/frequency may be messed up. You can change it VIA safe mode (F8 at boot) since it defaults to a standard resolution. Just bump it down to a normal resolution & frequency. Happens occasionally on XP for reasons I don't know.

I did as you said though and it works fine now.
