Ive been using AVG for some time now and I have been happy. Now the went to Version 8 and it seems very bloated. What do you think? Anyone compared the CPU cycles between the two?

It is a little more bloated, but still a much smaller foot print that most of the others.. :) I'll stick with them.

A little bit more bloated only because they've added a spyware scanner. Still one of the lightest AV apps you'll find. I have it installed on some 5 year old PCs no problems.

Check out my other thread: http://www.pcabusers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45939

I have recommendations for disabling a couple of things you don't need.
