Built Your Own Chopper?

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

I've been thinking about building my own chopper after I pay off my truck in a few months. I know it's going to take me a while to get all of the parts assembled and I'm not really in so much of a hurry, just interested in the experience. I've always been interested in building one. That way it's what I want and not something that somebody else has picked out. I've torn down and rebuilt a motorcycle before so the mechanics of it aren't foreign to me.. Just curious if anybody else has done it and how they went about it..

never did a bike... but have made other stuff.. basic use of torch and welder can help alot. if not and your doing a cookie cutter bike then just bolt the **** on and add a few custom touches like Orange county choppers does and thats it.

There are probably many websights/forums on the subject.
Although I really don't miss my old motorcycle that I rarely rode, not much of a bike guy, I do like custom choppers and if I ever get another bike someday, it'll be a chopper. Considering that those already built can go for $25-$40K, I also like the idea of building one from scratch.
