I have Azureus installed on my machine, lately it has been using a lot of resources and i cant use my pc as it should. My resources are at 100% usage, however i have 1500mb ram, 2gig p4.
I believe the problem started when i dled a few patches from the internal dl manager.
I uninstalled Azureus hoping it would remove everything, however when i reinstalled it the patches still remained on the new install.
I wish to totally remove all traces of this program being on my machine and start it fresh.
Hopefully this will alleviate most of the lag problems on my power machine.
Totally remove all software and traces ie; registry & dll

No idea if there's no uninstaller for the patches.
I very much doubt that Azureus is the cause of your problems unless you downloaded a copy that had been tampered and has spyware in it. If you didn't download it from SourceForge it may not be a legit copy.
What you describe sounds like spyware. Maybe you were infected after you installed Azureus from some other vector.
Have you run a THOROUGH spyware and virus check from SAFE MODE? Refer to my detailed spyware cleaning instructions here: http://theflyingpenguin.com/spyware-removal.shtml
Run a FULL virus scan afterwards from SAFE MODE.
Another option would be to use System Restore to go back to a restore point BEFORE you installed Azureus. Just be aware that system restore may still leave traces of the spyware so you should still do a thorough spyware clean and virus scan afterwards.
Hope this helps...
