want to build a new pc

Post by fireblade »

hi all,

after not to long ago purchasing a pc(which thanks for helping on the problems on that)now want to build a new system with actual advise before purchasing/ building.

hmm dare i say build me your dream system.........................errr i think i might be in for a rude awakening when the prices roll in

main uses:
- gaming
-well i want to make it a possible multi system machine for my own private space with big lcd/plasma etc that will play music and dvd's etc and a bit of office work......just a bit ;)

most suggest a amd64. i know intel are apperently out with a 64 or on the brink? i need a system that is totally upgradable with whatever is an obvious direction of where hardware might be going.

take money is no object for now, i can work down from there if need be :cool :

thanks

Money no option? Must be nice. Athlon FX 55, Asus A8N sli premium, dual Nvidia 6800 ultras, Corsair XL Pro 4gb, 4 74gb Raptors raid 0, Audigy ZS platinum, 78 inch dual crt flatscreen monitor (doubles as a tv if you get bored), Zalman case, 8.1 surround, and a really cushy chair to sit back in and drink martiniz.
For the realistic approach: Athlon 64 3200+, corsair xms 1024c2pt, dfi lan party skt 939, 1 200gb sata drive, Nvidia 6800gt Coolermaster case, and a 19 inch lcd. If you cant game-bussiness-media with that then something is wrong. Just my opinion, maybe im on crack or something.

thanks key keeper,

i am going to print and hand over to the guys that do custom builds ;)
and see what both those systems cost. dual 6800ultras, that already i can see is going to rape the bank balance and ride my bankmanager just for kicks

No money, no option? Order a loaded Dell Dimension XPS or Alienware rig. Less hassle. I'm SO over building rigs.
