Sin City

Post by MegaVectra »

Saw it today. I enjoyed it. I liked the comic book feel of the movie. Although I couldn't figure out why sometimes the blood was white and other times red. Some of the internal monologues were long winded and got boring, but the violence made up for it. heh

It was a well done movie. i like how it all tied up in the end. Great visuals.

This is a mean, hard film - as was the comics it was based on - those works of Frank Miller. He also was behind 'The Dark Knight Returns."

The blood was white for two reasons, i'd reckon it was:

One: It's was part of the Sin City comics, which was mostly black and white with color showing up sometimes.
Two: Like Kill Bill, too much red blood would have gotten the film an NC-17 rating....

Sin City is a raw film and anyone who likes the toughguy/detective stories of old will like this film...

/I'm not Gene Siskel, but I do look like him... Two thumbs up!

I loved it, so much happend I don't see how anyone can call it slow. It was like 3 movies in one. The entire syle of it was great as well making the story that much more fun to watch.

I liked this movie a lot and have been looking foward to it for some time.

Think I like Kill Bill a bit more though. But a few more times of seeing this later I may change me mind. I still prefer all color. Characters were certainly very interesting in Sin City. Some memorable ones in marv, hartigan, etc.. Miho sure wuz sharp. :d
