windows media player

Post by daddio12 »

A friend has an Asus P4P800 se board, pentium 2.4, geforce 5500 video, 512 kingston ram. Windows XP Home SP2.

When you open WMP, it plays music, but no display. Open window on tasksbar shows. When you maximize window, it seems to fly off the desktop; minimize & it flies back to taskbar. Music plays, but have no way of controlling volume, order, etc.

I have run Norton AV, Spybot, Adaware, MS Antispyware. I am baffled as to the fix for this. Any suggestions??
Thanks

Could be painful to troubleshoot. The simpelst fix is probably - if he hasn't done it yet - to upgrade to the latest version of media player. That usually fixes most problems like this: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/window ... fault.aspx
