Athlon XP 2000+ reading as a 2600+ ????

Post by Demrok »

Not that it would be a BAD thing lol BUT it's OC'd 500 mhz and it's not stable.. apps are constantly crashing on my GF's sisters computer. Just bought a new mobo and CPU for her
Mobo = a MSI KM4M-V
CPU = a Athlon XP 2000+

so what in the hell is goin on??? I can't find any CPU stats in the bios and that means nothing to change... unless there is some sorta jumpers on the mobo.. downloading the manual now.. but any advice would be great :) thanks!

There is a jumper that you'll have to change from 166 to 133 on the board. I have the same board in my mom's comp. :)
