DSL Problems

Post by Invisible Evil »

Hey guys Im having some Kooky sh*t going on with my net connection and I cannot figure out what.
First off if I get on the hub for a while im connected and dl/ul fine but when I try to surf the net I cant get anything but connection refusals. Same thing if Im using limewire.
I have to restard my rig to get back up. I have reset the modem (westell wirespeed) I have updated all software. etc and I cant figure it out.
Also if say I install something that connects to the web it take 2 or 3 min before I can browse the net again.

IM using zone alarm for my firewall. Maybe its that, well any tips would be appreciated.

i have been having alot of drops on my dsl lately - not sure if it is the modem or the dns is overloaded - gotta look into it one of these days - i am on frontiernet

you might want to cruise to the home page and find the list of dns servers and try another one in an adjacent area
