Burning audio files from hard disk...?

i want to wipe my hard disk and start over....but i have a prob....i have 10gig of music that i want to save on a disc (so i can upload it onto hard drive later).......i know i can burn MP3 but thats still more cd's than i have....cant i burn them to a dvd? if so how and what format must the dvd burn in?? im using nero 5

you can burn any file to a DVD

Just burn the DVD as a data disc

it would probably be simpler if you got yourself a spare hd and copy your stuff to that. It would be faster too.

Just burn them as DATA DVDs. 3 DVDs = 13.5Gb. I have a complete backup of my entire 25Gb+ MP3 collection on DVD data discs. Hard drives fail.

thanx all! i thought i could....now i feel stupid that i asked!! had 160gig hard disk with 150gig on it!! needed to burn down as much as possible.......
