Oh no, cpu frequency just ain't right

Post by d_b »

I just upgraded from a XP2100 to a XP2600 and the thing shows up as a XP2000. I have the bios set to auto for cpu config. How do i get it to show and more importantly be the correct speed? Motherboard is a Soyo KT600 Dragon Plus. I know it will handle this chip.

Thanks.

Dan

I AM A DUMB ASS.

Set the jumpers on the mobo to 166 instead of 133 and all is good. I was trying to do it all from the bios but the bios only went to 165 and all that did was cause some major font corruption.

Thanks for the help Sov.
