Lappy LCD Takin' A Dump?
I have an ancient KeyNote Green753+ that uses the NeoMagic 128XD Video chipset. I've tried several different drivers from different build dates and I still have the same problem. The LCD displays things perfectly in DOS Based Apps and on boot, but once it gets into windows, it shows things fine until I start to open up windows. Once I've opened a window or two, depending on what they are, the lines will be out of sync.. In otherwords there will be a row of pixes that is 2 pixels to the right and the ones on top of it will be the other way.. It's kind of annoying when I'm trying to chat with people and I have to highlight the text to make the crappy lines go away.. Any thoughts? Or is this OLD lappy just on it's last leg? I wouldn't be surprised if it was.. lol.. I've been using an external keyboard for months now because the clip that holds the ribbon cable into the socket on the mobo has broken. Well, let me know what you think..
