Master and C is outstanding...historically very good and since there are very few sailing ships left, the action was good...I thought it was carefully done and has a lot of potential to be a classic...peter weir is a very good director, always liked his stuff...and it is always heartening to see a movie that isn't a remake of something else 4/4*
Last Samurai was ok, some decent fight scenes...kinda hard to accept Cruise some of the time because he always looks like he's lost - would have liked the film to end after the last battle like a real samurai movies would have .. photography is outstanding and good music - 3/4*

Worst movies ever?! LOL riiiight, so you're saying that they are on the same level as recent crap movies like the Rollerball remake, You Got Served, From Justin to Kelly, Gigli and Glitter? You can have your opinion but I'm pretty sure most people would disagree.
Anyway, I thought Samurai was a pretty good movie, one of the better ones I've seen lately. Master and Commander was alright, some good parts but some parts were too slow and plodding for my taste, not a bad movie tho...

didnt see m&c but I thought last samurai was one of the best movies ive seen in a long time. I espically liked their armour designs, and althou I am a big fan of LOTR, I thought that Last samurai should have got best costume design at the awards this year. ya know, since LOTR has had the same main char costumes for 3 movies in a row
