Post by nexus_7 »

The file or dirrectors is currupt or unreadable.

Any way to fix this?.....it was my Fricken back up hd.

I have partionmagic8 if that has anything. but all the options I try, the program saysit cant, or no room, or stuff like that. I would really like to recover this data.

I've had excellent luck with Disk Commander. by Winternals. As long as BIOS can see the drive, I've recovered files off some pretty screwed up drives. Depending on how corrupt the drive is it may take several hours, but eventually it can do it.

Best if you run this on a dedicated computer because it will tie up that computer while it's working, and it could take quite a while (I've heard of cases where it takes days to extract the files you want).

ok, I sort of got something.

First I ghosted the dumb drive just incase.

Then I ran some recovery program on it and now I have a bunch of folders with goofy names and the files in them are goofy as well. all wierd naming and .bla

Starting to piss me off.
