Ok I"m A Dumb#&%!

I had the bright idea of painting my CTX 19" monitor using black vinyl dye (which works great BTW).

I took it all apart, painted everything, and was just waiting for everything to dry. To make a long story short. My monitor fell off the table and smacked the concrete floor! All I heard was what sounded like a release of air, I'm assuming it was actually the tube loosing it's vacuum. I was in shock. I couldn't believe what I just saw. I got so pissed I picked it up and smashed again to make sure it was dead! Then I glass in my foot! Man was I pissed. :mad :mad

LCD prices are still a little to steep for me at the moment. I bought a 19" Samsung at Sam's for 183 bucks. I must say when comparing the image quality with that of my former monitor, the CTX was a POS.

OUCH man that sucks!!! I just got a new monitor too. A viewsonic A90f+. My old KdS finally died. The Viewsonic has a much better picture than the KDS ever had.

LOL, I'm still using my CTX 17" monitor that I bought back in 1998. Works ok, but on occation, it will do some werid flickering then stop. I have degaus it, but it will still continue. With prices on the standard monitors really low, I just might break down next time and pick up a 19" since my eye site is getting worse at seeing text (sign of old age).
