Hosting a web page with a router.

Post by knightofnee1112 »

A friend wants to host a web site and FTP server, but his router for his DSL service will only allow client based stuff IE, he can load websites no sweat. but hosting them is another issue, I simply need to have the router forward port 80 to his PC correct?

all you need to do is forward the port and run the software on the PC

try to run on a different port than 80/21

most ISPs are blocking those ports
