KK266+ mobo, ram and athlon 1.1 200mhzfsb question

Post by arghputer »

Ok, here is the setup I have, and need to know why I cant run at pc133 speeds, ok so I will explain

I have the current setup for my home server:

Iwill KK266+
Athlon 1.1 ghz 200mhz fsb
512mb mushkin pc133 ram

now, the mobo has something I havent seen in a long time, a fsb jumper, 100 or 133.

Now, I cant run pc133 speeds, so I have to set the jumper to 100, and it runs fine, but I am wondering if this is because of the 200mhz fsb speeds of the athlon, this board supports athlonxp's up to 2000+, I had a 1700+ in there, bought nforce2/barton setup, and sold the 1700+ off and set up this server with parts around here, so my question is do I need to buy a 266mhz fsb chip like a 1.4 or an athlonxp to run the pc133, cuz I plan to oc the ram and cpu, but want to run the max I ca, so please help me out, thanks!!

yea, it wont run it at 133 unless you probably unlock the cou and give it a little extra voltage.

I have had that board with a 1700+ in it btw.
