I love the old Core that made TR 1 and 2, games I intend to play once again in the coming years.

But what did this Core manage to do with an undisputed classic ?

- A once loved, trusted, admired heroine now turns into a cold, agressive psycho killer who doesn't hesitate and kills without qualms, poor Louvre Museum guards, no goons, just daddy at work for God's sake !

Ok, they are french but there are limits ... ( just clowning =) )

- Suspense should be seeing something dangerous ahead and making your way little by little, wisely observing and then deciding your moves, only dying if you make a bad descision or move.

Suspense is not about stepping and falling to your death every two steps with no hint at all to warn you.
Re-loading your game 20 times breaks the game ambience, and wastes your time, though it manages to make a poor game with few ideas a little longer.

- Enjoyment is using well your athletics powers and your mind and progressing smoothly in well thought out sequences.

It is not running 30 mortifying times the same strecht until luck or coincidence finally lets you barely get out of the tired scene.

Enjoyment is not firing at an inmortal ghost 40 times till you stop him for just a moment with nothing to really let you know you have now 3 or 4 seconds for TRYING -with a lot of luck- to get an elusive object.

CORE was once a place of gaming geniuses, now it's a place of people who doesn't seem to have the slightest idea about making a good game, but they do know how to let down gamers.

I just hope Eidos can hire capable people or else let a new company honor the Croft standards.

I liked 1/2/4, 3 was ok but it started getting to that insane 'god damn it stop making traps just to make them!' point.

Haven't played AOD yet... probably won't.
Headphones are the answer to all insane air cooled systems. :)

AOD sucks. You think they would make a user friendly interface. If only they made the controls/movement more like Max Payne. I would have to say AOD was the biggest waist of money I spent on a comp game.
