SATA question

Post by Absolut Talent »

I have a gigabyte motherboard (ga-7vaxp ultra). it has the onboard raid controller which doubles as an addition ata133 controller. It also has 2 onboard sata plugs.

Is it possible to have all the IDE ports used up by harddrives (figure 2 per channel) and still be able to add an additional 2 sata drives? or can i only use one or the others, meaning either only all sata, or only all ide drives?

Still trying to read up a bit on sata, but i have yet to see anything about this, or im not looking hardenough
Gone for good. But never say never
