2500xp price crawling up? Or more newegg games

Post by canton_kid »

At least at newegg the price is rising on the XP 2500 333 slowly.

Was $90 for the retail for along time, then a blow out sale for $83, then on sale at $90 again.
Yesterday it was $91, tonight it is $92!

Is this a market trend, or just newegg games? I see they started some crap of instant rebates now, but it think most the things I have seen them on were higher priced than before!

They started the crap of showing a price with a line through it, have to actually put it in the cart to see the price, at least on the home page sales stuff.

They started a new extended waruantee service plan you can buy also. Money for nothing normally for most items!

Looks like we need to start searching for a new place to shop, these type changes are normally a sign of doom for 8 out of 10 companies. Either most companies are in trouble when they start this stuff or it's this stuff that dooms them!

Nope this is normal for newegg, they dangle it out cheap to generate a buzz, then when the frenzie starts they slowly jackup the price, shuttle MB is a prime example.

I always look someplace else first. I usually will pay a couple $$ more from someone that sponcers pca. Shipping cheaper most of the time, so I come out ahead a few $$ anyway.

I buy lots of things from various places and shop around alot. Nearly everything I been buying at newegg has free shipping, I don't buy the $2 dvd disks with the $5 shipping type items :)
My burner was free shipping then I bought the disks elsewhere in spindles of 25 with free shipping.

Newegg is raising the prices of the 2500xp 333fsb by $1 a day it looks like! Right now it is $94!

If you need one might want to buy it now, looks like in a month it will be back up to $125 again at this rate :(

I think the 3000xp went up too! At $254 I was not going to buy it anyways, but now it's $262?

If you put something in the shopping cart and come back later it gets updated. Was a $2 savings on a CD burner (discount is gone now) and the corsair ram I was gonna buy for $80 is now out of stock, and the 2500 went up a buck again!

They get me everytime, normally I order and the price goes down about the time I get the stuff. This time I wait to order and they raise the price instead of lowing i :(

Oh well
