WTF? lol. I downloaded the DVD software from ATIs website and they ask for a code and the CD.. Umm.. WTF would I download the software if I had the CD? Crazy.. I guess I'll just have to use another player.. lol.. eGo

The software you download is newer than that on the CD. They're just making sure you bought an ATI product....although you can't even install it unless it detects an ATI card in your system last I knew, so yeah it's overkill.

ya, and It's not just an ATI cd, it's the new version 8 or above cd from what I understand. I thought they menat you had to have the new cd to install MMC 8 or above, but I geuss that's just for the dvd player?

Who knows, but you can buy the cd for $10 from ATI or get it free with a card around 9000 or 9500 I think. But bytes for us with 7500's!
