For those of you having problems with Creative drivers, give these a try: http://kxproject.spb.ru/down.php?language=en

Some friends of mine at the Red-Eye LAN are using them and highly recommend them.

Don't know. Most of the guys who are using them complained of crackling noises with the Creative drivers.

Worth a try I'd say. If you have XP I'd make a restore point first.

Excellent find FP! Creative may have some of the best hardware out there, but their drivers and software is simply crap. These drivers DO sound better, since they use the rear outputs instead of the normal ones, allowing for less distortion and a cleaner signal.
Welcome to the machine.

Glad they're working out.

I personally was never so happy than when I got rid of my SB Live. Creative used to me king of the mountain, but they're drivers have sucked eggs since the SBLive (not to mention that the SBLive is cursed with IRQ issues). More than happy with my on-board C-Media.
