Your Favorite Music Videos

Post by blade »

Been downloading music videos through kazaa. Some music videos are classic but of course our tastes will vary.

Anyway, my favorite ones are:

Aerosmith - Rag Doll
Aerosmith - Angel
Aerosmith - Dude looks like a lady
ZZ Top - Viva Las Vegas
ZZ Top - Legs
Beach Boys - Kokomo (great song w/bikinis)
John Cougar - Cherry Bomb
Paula Abdul - Cold Hearted
B-52's - Love Shack
Don Henley - All she wants to do is Dance
Robert Palmer - Addicted to Love (classic)
Frankie Goes to Hollwood - Relax (only the version from the movie Body Double)
David Lee Roth - California Girls

Madonna, she was great in the 80's. Great songs and videos:

Open your Heart
Vogue
Like a Prayer
Express Yourself
Material Girl
La Isla Bonita

Check out some Tom Petty vids, they are whacked  Zeppelin, Floyd, Aerosmith & Clapton are my main ones. I've burned just about every single Aerosmith video/music video/live performance/etc to a VCD :) Blade, check out Aerosmiths version of "Dream On" that was playted on MTV... it's very powerful version of the song--best I've heard yet. Another good one is the sweet emotion music video, rather funny :)

It's been ages that I've watched MTV or comparable, so here my pick from my limited knowledge.

On Your Mark
Music Film: 15 July 1995 / 6 minutes 40 seconds
Director, Screenplay, Original Story: Hayao Miyazaki
Music & Lyrics: Ryou ASKA

I don't love this so much for the song (which is nice) but for the video itself cause it's from Studio Ghibli which makes awesome anime (some say the best and I won't argue). This music film, directed by Miyazaki for the Japanese pop music artists Chage & Aska, is by many accounts the seed of an idea for a film in its own right.
