video messed up...

Post by marscheese »

just got a Radeon 9700 Pro yesterday, and on any black it makes 3 funny lines across my screen. It does not appear to do this with any other colors. I just upgraded from a Radoen 7200 32MB, and I did not experience this problem. I've downloaded the latest drivers, and the ATI fix for Battlefield 1942. Here's a pic of what I'm experiencing:

dude, I'm tellin' you its your crappy monitor. Besides, not only is your link fucked up (you have a comma instead of a period) we can't even see the problem....probably because it's your monitor? Yeah, yeah, thats why I'm A+ certified ;) hehe Now be happy with your BF playing at the highest res your (crappy) monitor supports on 4x FSAA.....sheesh :)

jesus man, I was fixing the link as you posted...you're a quick one. Maybe it is my moniter, but it didn't do it w/ my last graphics card. Just trying to rule out possibilities. Besides, pretty soon I'm going to get an LCD which should be sweet (and then I'll also be poor, but what the hey, at least I'll be computing in styyyyyyyyle ;) )

well. does it do it in dos or on the boot up screens? That would reduce it from being a software problem to hardware. Or try running it with windows generic VGA drivers. See if it still does it then. If it does its either your monitor or the board is fudged.
