dang it...must upgrade!!!!! AAAHHHH!!!

i've been using the same pc for almost a year!!!

i have really been wanting to mod my case, but would rather start fresh and do a full replacement of my main system...the problem is to WHAT?

current sys specs:

shuttle AK31 mobo
1.4 athlon (not o/c'ed, non-XP)
radeon 9000 pro
512 MB pc2100
40x burner
lots of hard drives

i can run all my games just fine at 1280x1024 (UT2003 being the newest i play), have plenty of storage space, and it has been the most stable pc i've ever used/built. WHY do i feel the need to upgrade?!?

so, is there even anything worth moving up to right now? i doubt i'll see too many real-world gains (i don't care about obscure benchmarks anymore...) by going from a 1.4 athlon to an XP...

should i hold out until the next generation comes out? 64-bit? hmmmm

I would just buy a 2100 XP. I have almost the same system, and that's what I did.

I would atleast wait till the next chipsets come out liek the via kt400a or some nforce2 boards are out. thats me though.
