overclocking 1.4 tbird

im wondering if i can overclock this much. stepping is ayjha. do i need to unlock it?

Older tbirds 1200-1400 are factory unlocked, at least my 1200 and 1400 are.
The 1400 tbird is at the end of the tbird line, so don't expect too much of an overclock out of it. Your overclock depends on the CPU and how much you want to invest in cooling and noise, average overclock for the 1400 is 1600.
You'll have to up the Vcore and you also need some serious cooling.

i have an thermal take ax7 which i used on a t bird 1.33 it kept it cool i overclocked it to a 1540 temps were 115 i want to get rid of it if you are interested reply please or aol or e mail

hey :D thanx for the input. i think ill just save my cash and get a 1900+ which is the max this mobo will take, according to the specs.

im sure it will take a 2200+, most sites dont EVER update that info.

you might be right but it seemed that the last bios upgrade listed only gave it 1900+ capability. im running the soyo dragon original non+ version
