samsung pc2700 compatibility

Post by wpublic »

well, i have a 256MB samsung pc2700 laying around, and of my 2 DDR mobos, ( Gigabyte 7dxr+ and Shuttle AK31a) according to the manuals, it only supports up to pc2100.

but i was on crucial.com, and looked up both mobos and according to their site, the crucial pc2700 is listed under compatible items.

i was just wondering (before i go and try it :) ) could i put this samsung in and make it work?

its jsut saying the board only supports Speeds UP to 2100, 2700 is backwards compatable so you are fine.
