Hey FP, I saw your website and i was wondering where i could get a link to find out how to recover data from a formatted, erased or physically damaged HDD. Just think it would be intersting to have the '' know how''. Thanks. I dont expect you to write it all down here. Just looking for a good link to explain.

I use Winternals Disk Commander: http://www.winternals.com/products/repa ... mander.asp

The drive has to be able to spin and needs to be detected by BIOS.

If the electronics are Futzed, there's nothing you can do except send it to one of those companies that will transfer the platters to another hard drive in a clean room (not cheap).
