Antec SX Clone Cases?

im plannin on gettin one of those kick ass antec cases, the sx 1040, and i wanna put a paint job on it. as lookin though sites for the best prices i ran across so many clones of it. they all look the same as the antec, but is it actually the same? same quality? what about the power supply? if the power supply isn't antec should i still trust it? any good antec-clones i can go with that will save me some cash?

actually they are all Chenming/chieftec cases. antec just slaps there name on it. yes. they are all the same.

Get a seperate PS. I rarelly use a PS included with a case...they usually suck.

holy crap you reply fast, i went to brush my teeth and i come back to revise my message and i see a reply already, haha

. the antec cases come with antec power supplies though so i dont see why there would be a compromise in quaulity. for the chenming cases, antec makes them but just sells them at a different name? thats pretty screwed up if you ask me. if i should get one of those chenmings, should i get one without a power supply and buy a quality antec one? cause i think that'd save me some money since those chenming ones are only around 40 bucks or so. what do you think?

no Chenming/chieftec makes them all...and antec puts there name on it.

antec PS's are ok. but usually the ones that come with there cases arnt there high end ones. antec sells some Dual fan Ps's that are much nicer then the normal ones that coem with there cases.

so what do you think i should get, a cheap chenming that looks the same and a seperate power supply that is of higher quality?

Get the cheaper one. Antec...Chenming...doesnt matter. Then slap a good PSU in it like a Sparkle or Enermax. Those type of cases look SW33T when modded. My case, below, is a chieftec.

Yup, I also have the Chieftec case...its exactly the same as the Antec, but is a lot cheaper.

I have just arrived at these fine forums, and i also have a look alike by the name of "antec/soho" I got it for $48 at http://www.amamax.com. It came with 2 case fans. It didn't have a power supply, which is good becaus ei already had a very nice Enermax 350watt p/s. I have gotten a few Enermax products and i am very impressed with their quality and performence. I sugjest you try one of those, or anyone else who wants to good brand that works great for me, an AMD Athlon user (power sucker). I also am looking into buyig soem of their case fans. They all seem nice, besdies the looks, you know they are fast enough if thye come with a grill on them (too keep people who want to see if they can stop the fan with their finger a trip to the ER.
