Dang Win XP can't print to my printer, WTF?

I had XP installed and it worked great with it's native drivers to print to my HP722C.

It is an ole printer but serves me well. I cannot, since re-installing WIN XP print to it for nuthin.

Anybody have any suggestions? I already tried removing and uninstalling the drivers and tried to re-install to no avail. I also tried to uninstall and use the Plug & Pray method but no dice. I am using a Parallel cable tried swaping cables no dice. I can print from another PC in my home connected to it directly but when I try to network print with my XP Rig it does nothing.........=(

try printing something and then open the print box to see if it is in "pause". ? ? ?

It shows out of paper although thats not the case........=/

Does anybody think if I buy a usb to centronix printer cable it will plug -N- Pray?
