Thats sound like a decent deal? I've been shopping around! Priority mail? Texas? I should have it Fri, Sat, I would think.

Shopping advice! Always check the banks acounts FIRST! I found I had an extra $100 in the one I don't use very often, AFTER shopping! Bummer, could have bought a bunch MORE today, now it has to go to bills instead@!

Had I known in time, I could have gotten my round ATA 100 cables $5 each and hood scoop! Don't actualy like a blow hole!

Also went into town (I live in the boonies, 12 miles to little town!) and also bought the stuff to make a temp sensing speed controll for the fans. The one that was in a link from here, temp sensing. Cost $8 for 3 parts and shrink tubing. May be I should have bought elsewhere! Nothng else here though, Radio shack.

The 80mm top motor for the AX-7 is a temp sensing variable speed with rpm monitoring. $8 I'll try this one, they were out of the one I was going to buy.
Got another top motor auto sensing for the case, auto sensing. $6
Not sure what to use the sleeve bearing ones for, but at $1.50 they were cheap I thought so I got two!
As3 compound, you might think I am all set now, but I forgot to get anything to lapp with, duh! Maybe I got some old 180 grit some where

Window kit, answer, becuase it was there.
Memory cooling kit, Nice pretty blue in the pics. Actually beside dressing up the case, I have copper and alumnium laying around, might see how this works then try making my own.
Frieght, kinda like taxes, you got to pay something to someone!!

This and some paint should keep me busy a few days?

When lapping a HSF best way to do it is lay the sandpaper on a very flat surface and be sure the HSF stays flat on it... Start out with some 400 or 600 grit... Jump up to some 1000. use wet and dry sandpaper. Water helps out a bunch... I usually top my HSF off with 1500 grit and give it a nice looking shine

180 is way to coarse and will gouge the HSF and cause more trouble than good.

Thanks. I was wondering how high to go with the grit, 1000 or higher. So you go for pretty much a mirror type shine on yours then?

I been checking out the forums, since I don't know what I am doing yet, and someone kept saying 400 just 400.
I figured that was a bit low though! Some people seem to think mirror finsih while others say shine but not a mirror so the AS3 can get a bite.

In theory I would think if the CPU and heat sink each had such a shine that AS3 could not get a grip, then you wouldn't need it anyway since the purpose of AS3 it to fill the voids that otherwise would not conduct heat well.

Of course we could never get that prefect a finish anyway, and I don't thnk I want to try lapping the CPU at all!

The 180 was just a joke though.
I would be pretty unhappy if I bought a heatsink and could get a better finish than the factories by using a 180 grit!!

Got my box today. All in All I would have to say it was probably a good deal!

Was $6.25 shipping acording to the box label, I paid $5.00.

All my parts are there, they did not forget to ship anything

Nothing broke, Packed in lots of newspaper, window kit arrived safe.

I was hoping to get it Fri, Sat, but got it Mon. Still not bad, faster than many places! Ordered Wensday. Got Monday! Came First class mail!

Man that AX-7 is a heavy piece! Glad I ain't planning to move the system alot!! Actually I like it, I guess that wieght is why they use a 3 latch clip! Can't wait to get it installed and see what it does to these 65C temps! It is about 34c or about 90F in the room here right now and the system is showing
Cpu at 67C!!

I would have to did hard to find a complaint on this purchase, unless it were that I bought 4 fans and they all came in one bag! Not realy a compliant, but 2 are the same (I know which they are) and the other two look the same, but were a little different in the specs, not sure whIch is which. Both variable speed temp sensing 3 pin rpm monitoring, One was $6 and the other $8. I think the difference was suppose to be one was ball bearing and the other a double ball bearing? I want to use the better one on the CPU, which was that? Like I say though, have to be pretty petty and dig hard to find that one little thing! It probly has a number I can look at to tell.

I will probably buy more from bestbyte.net again latter. What I bought had good prices! But I shopped and compared lots of places first, and stuff like M/B CPU Hd I think the best place so far I found is tcwo.com. newegg.com looks good two, and has about the best selection, but I haven't bought there yet. Maybe the next M/b will come from Newegg!
