A whole while ago, Microsoft has pulled the popular Powertoys for Windows XP from its website for some odd reason... Now it seems that the german ZDNet has revealed the reason: The Autologon feature of Tweak UI enabled users of Windows XP Home Edition to join domains on a network, eventhough this feature is only intended to be available for Windows XP Professional clients! Our german readers may want to check out more about this neat trick here.
An updated release of the Windows XP Powertoys will be available for download in April.
I'll have to try this to see if it's true..... it would be a riot if it is. Keep that old copy of XP Powertoys handy people!
LOL!
LMAO: Is this the REAL reason MS pulled XP PowerToys in such a hurry?
