SK6 with an 80 mm fan?
I have a sk6 with a sunon fan that pushes 23.5 cfm's on a 1800+. Idle temps are pretty damn high. . . let alone my load temps. I get around 57 C or so idle and 63 C on loads. These temps are from mobomonitor on an asus a7v266-e. So I was wondering if there is a way to rig a 80mm fan onto the sk6. Keeping things quiet is my priority so I don't feel like getting a 7000rpm fan.

those temps are real high - make sure that you didn't reverse the clip on the sk6 when u installed ( like i did
) if the clip is on backwards you don't have enough contact - i have an sk6 with a smallish fan from an fop32 - doubt that it its more than 30 cfm - holds a 1.4 regular tbird a 47-48 C folding and gaming

yea, head over to KDC (link at the bottom of page, and order a volcano2 or 5 heatsink and use its fan.
but if you are commited the the 80mm bit, just use the larger fan clip and with a little bending it attaches nicely to it. but I sugest the 60mm fan option...its just easier and usually quieter...cause you need lots more air moving with the larger fan...thus more noise.

by just turning an 80, so that it sits on a diagonal to the HS, you can use the attatchment wires. Or, just use some wire and set an 80 on it, no adapter, and wire to the holes on the bottom, heres a pic.
