Someone please sell me an Abit KA7

Post by Topshelf »

I'm really in need of a replacement mobo for my buds system. It had an KA7 in there and ran fine until it died. I don't know enough about these ancient Slot-A mobo's to know what other boards are good or bad, so sell me a KA7 dammit!!! :D

Another good slot one mobo is the MSI K7 pro, if you happen to see one of those around.

Don't bother replacing it with another KA7, it'll probably end up dying too. These boards have failure-prone capacitors on them, which is probably why your friend's died.

probably not, the KA7 is a slot-a board.

Dam, thanks for the info Jim. If I don't locate an MSI board real soon, I'll have no choice but to sell his 750@1Gig Athlon and just upgrade the mobo/cpu combo.

LOL, didn't you know it's not very nice to make fun of the PCA CEO? :D :laugh

Can you believe what I've become? I'm so ashamed. I'm amazed you guys still allow me to trade. ;)

I haven't heard anything from that guy in Bens link yet either, so I'm still looking. I can't believe how hard it is to find one of these things. If nothing comes up Ben, I'll let you know.
