Problem with delayed sound

Post by Gibson »

Hi!
As my first post at pcabusers i'll start with a question, doh..

The problem is my soundcard not working properly in counter-strike. The sound from e.g. the weapons are coming 1 sec delayed. It works perfectly in windows, it's just in counter-strike the sound is f*cked up :(
Specs: A7Vkt133, TB 900 Mhz, 320 MB sdram, Geforce 2 GTS, Soundblaster PCI128, win2k pro

Can u help?

Can be a irq problem.. or a driver problem.. I had the same problem with my AWE 64 gold.. (in win98) and that was a irq conflict .. don't know why it accoured in CS only...

It can be the hdd's aswell..

the sound goes insane...

I had the same kind of problem with some sb16 clone, it was also delayed in all 3d games. I'm not sure was the problem in the drivers or in the card...

Ed, uncheck the 20db gain in voice tweak. Look in the HL folder. I dont know what sound card your using but in the game console type : voice_dsound 1 default is voice_dsound 0
this fixed all my problems.
